Do I need to purchase a ticket to attend the parade? 

No. The parade is free and open to the public. Tickets are available for purchase for those that would like a reserved seat. There is plenty of room along the parade route for everyone to attend with or without a ticket purchase.

How much are tickets? 

General Admission tickets are $10 and VIP tickets are $25

What is the difference between General Admission and VIP Tickets?

- General Admission tickets are $10; with open seating in your selected section. Seats are first come first serve in each section.
- VIP tickets are $25 and includes a restroom facility in close proximity, hot beverages, a ticket to Dickens’ Christmas Towne and a reserved section and seat number.

Can I pick where I want to sit? 

General Admission seats are on a first come, first serve basis per section, and you can pick your section. VIP tickets allow you to choose what section and what seat.

What forms of payment do you accept? 

You may purchase a ticket with cash or credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

I do not want to pay the convenience fee online, what should I do?  

Visit the Downtown Norfolk Council office located at 223 E. City Hall Avenue, Suite 212, Norfolk, VA during office hours:  M-F: 8:30am-5pm to buy a ticket with no convenience charge.

How do I pay with cash?

What time should I arrive?

Seating opens at 5:00pm. Customers are encouraged to come as early as possible to access the ticketed sections and avoid any heavy traffic congestion.

What if I print my ticket at home and lose it before the parade? 

Please call 757-623-1757 to request the ticket be re-printed for you. We can then mail it to you or you can come pick it up prior to parade day at  Downtown Norfolk Council office located at 201 Granby Street Norfolk, VA during office hours:  M-F: 8:30am-5pm.

What if I forgot my ticket the day of the parade? 

If you know what section you are sitting, you can speak to the Street Seats attendant in that section and give them the name the tickets were purchased under. Each section attendant has a list of all purchased tickets.

Are refunds available? 

We cannot issue refunds if you are unable to arrive at your seats due to traffic or pedestrian congestion. Refunds are not available due to inclement weather. The event is rain or shine. 

I want to park closest to my seating section, where do I park? 

 If you are sitting in section G101-103 on Granby Street the closest garages are: MacArthur Center Parking Garage, South deck of Boush Street Garage, located on the corner of City Hall and Boush Street. The entrance is on City Hall Avenue.

If you are sitting in section M101-106 on Main Street the closest garages are: Plume Lane Garage (located off Commercial Place), Union Street Garage, Waterside Garage and Main Street Garage.

If you are sitting in section V101-105 on Waterside Drive, near Nauticus and Spirit Cruises, the closest garages are:  Town Point Garage, Waterside Drive Garage (must arrive early for this garage due to street closures) and Boush Street Garage.

How much is it to park? 

City parking garages and the MacArthur Center parking garage rates: 
Early bird parking is $2 collect on entry before 5pm. After 5pm, the rates go up to $5 collect on entry.

What if I don’t want to drive to the parade? 

There are many transportation options courtesy of Hampton Roads Transit. You may travel by Ferry, Bus or the Light Rail system (The Tide). The Light Rail stops closest to each section are:
