34th Annual Grand Illumination Parade

The 34th Annual Grand Illumination Parade, "The Lights Are Bright On Broadway,” took place in Downtown Norfolk on Saturday, November 17 at 7pm, bringing thousands of spectators out to take in the beauty, magic, and electric holiday spirit.

Award Winners

An independent panel of judges were staged along the route to evaluate the units that were all competing to win one of the prestigious Grand Illumination Parade awards.

The Downtown Norfolk Council is proud to congratulate the following 2018 Grand Illumination Parade award winners:

Motorized – Black and White Cabs *Was also the winner for motorized in 2016 and 2017*

ADP carrying Lollipops. The award recognizes the most enthusiastic Giant Helium Balloon Handlers.

Norfolk State University Dancers. The award recognizes the unit that had the most well thought out, creative and stylish attire.
